Who We Are...

Hello Everyone!

Thank you for stopping by our blog! We wanted to start this blog journey by telling you a little bit about each of us. So, here goes...

Terry Brooks ~ I am married to Carol. I have two sons; Brandon (32) and Mark (29). Both are married and each have a daughter. I was a nurse at a long term care facility for the developmentally disabled for almost almost 30 years. I worked at an outpatient pharmacy for a few years as a pharmacy technician. I am a member of the Atlanta Christian Church. I enjoy singing in the church choir and going to Wednesday night Bible Study. This will be my first mission trip.

Scott Parks ~ I'm 22 years old, and will turn 23 the day we leave for Thailand. I work for my dad as a carpenter. I graduated from Heartland Community College with a degree in Computer Aided Design. I grew up in the church and have been going to Atlanta Christain Church for probably 22 years (longer than I can remember). I've been on one previous mission trip to an Indian reservation in Washington state, where we did a VBS for the kids.

Brian Siltman ~ I am married to my beautiful wife, Deborah. I have three incredible kids. Brady is 18, Shawn is 15, and Katelyn is 10. I received a BA in General Ministry in May 2008 from Lincoln Christian University. I work as a signal maintainer for Union Pacific Railroad. I was a medic (optician) in the Navy and am really looking forward to using my skills to minister to the people in Thailand.

Deb Siltman ~ I am married to the most amazing man I know, Brian. I am stepmom to three wonderful kids, Brady (18), Shawn (15), and Katelyn (10). I work at Lincoln Christian University as the Director of Student Services in the Hargrove School of Adult and Continuing Studies. I went to Thailand on a similar mission trip in 2003 and am really looking forward to going back.

Linda McVey ~ My husband's name is Adam. We have been married for 24 years. We are the parents of Eli (21) who is a junior at Illinois State University, Payton (19) who is a freshman at The Citadel in Charleston, South Carolina, and Briley (16) who is a junior at Olympia High School. My profession is a theory instructor to high school students at a cosmetology school in Bloomington. My personal passion is compassion which I dearly hope to be able to share with all those I come into contact with in Thailand.

Alicia Crabtree ~ I am 24 years old. I grew up in the Atlanta Christian Church. In 2007, I received my BSN from Mennonite College of Nursing at Illinois State University and am now a Registered Nurse and work in the Neonatal Intensive Care Unit at St. John's Hospital in Springfield, IL. I went on a mission trip in 2000 to the Dominican Republic, where we helped tear down a house and put on a VBS for the kids. I am hoping that through this trip to Thailand, besides helping others and showing them the love of Jesus Christ, I will more clearly see if missionary work is truly my calling from God.

Robbie Bell ~ I'm married to Dana and have 3 children, Kaleigh 21, Landon 18 and Reagan 4. I was born and raised in Atlanta, IL. On October 12, 2003, I started my new life in Jesus Christ. I am retired from the Navy Seabees and am currently employed by the Illinois Department of Corrections as a Parole Agent. I was formerly an Emergency Medical Technician on the Atlanta Rescue Squad and hope to use that knowledge on this mission trip.

Kristen Green-Morrow ~ I am 38 years old and married to my wonderful husband David. We have two wonderful and spunky children, Davey who is 4 and Kristy who is 2. I am a physician in Lincoln and practice obstetrics and gynecology. I am also attending Lincoln Christian University's Seminary. I am very excited about our trip! Hope you enjoy the blog site.

Well, that's most of us! (Bio of Kirk Robison will be coming.) We are all excited and looking forward to this trip. Thank you for taking the time to learn a little more about each one of us. Check back for more updates!

Serving Him,

The ACC Mission Team
